Position Summary: Forklift operators are responsible for operating and managing industrial trucks to load and unload materials, deliveries, and move them to and from storage areas, residential lines, loading docks, and into trucks or warehouses #1 and #2 for storage. Operators must inspect their equipment before and after use.

Essential Job Functions: The Shipping Forklift Operator will have roles including, but not limited to:

• Safely and efficiently operate sit-down forklifts and squeeze clamps
• Load, unload, ship, and receive warehouse items
• Locate and move stock to pallets for shipment
• Stack coolers safely, avoiding fire lanes, exits, and doors, maintaining proper height and alignment
• Operate RFGEN scanning equipment to track and move items
• Wrap pallets for shipping, weigh loads, and record weights
• Maintain accurate inventory and report product damages or shortages
• Report issues with materials or transportation to supervisors
• Identify safety hazards and adhere to safety standards
• Follow production schedules for timely transportation
• Match received items with purchase orders/invoices
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on forklifts
• Keep work area clean and organized

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements:

• Completion of forklift driving course is a plus
• High School diploma or GED, or 1-year related experience
• Minimum 2-year forklift driving experience with current certification
• Ability to interpret safety and operation manuals, and communicate in English
• Capable of understanding and following detailed instructions and handling problems involving materials
