Forklift Operator (Seasonal)
Team members safely and efficiently operate motorized forklifts to load and unload trucks, pull pallets of finished product from production lines, and place finished product in the warehouse as directed by the onboard WMS system.
Essential Functions
- Operate forklift by moving levers and pressing pedals to control the truck and lifting apparatus.
- Unload and stack materials by raising and lowering the lifting device.
- Plan supply and material requirements by studying production schedules and scheduling deliveries to the production area.
- Retrieve supplies and materials by studying specifications, locating, verifying, and securing pallets on trucks, and moving pallets to production locations.
- Maintain inventory in the production area by tracking usage and reporting discrepancies.
- Clear production areas by securing and moving finished pallets and empty pallets.
- Document actions by logging movements of supplies, materials, and finished goods.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following safety standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Keep forklift operational by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventative maintenance, and calling for repairs.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Ensure regular and predictable attendance as an essential job function.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment or similar field.
- Experience operating a sit-down motorized forklift.
- Ability to navigate within a WMS system.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of experience in a similar environment, role, and managing people/projects.

Education
