Job Title: SHIPPING/ RECEVING FORKLIFT OPERATOR

Job Purpose and Summary

This role involves performing tasks such as:

• Moving products from the warehouse to trucks following the Pick List to maintain FIFO.
• Performing trailer inspections and securing trucks prior to loading.
• Using scanners to complete loads, transfer products, and split pallets.
• Reporting and handling damaged products.
• Performing general labor and working safely.
• Following directions from supervisors to ensure procedures are followed.
• Supporting compliance with Food Safety and Quality Management System programs.
• Verifying product labels, handling incoming documents, and unloading materials.
• Collaborating with team members for proper storage and inventory management.
• Using handheld scanners for inventory movements.
• Ensuring proper storage conditions, including temperature and allergen controls.

Duties and Responsibilities

• 75%: Moving products, loading trucks, securing with seals, verifying loads.
• 15%: Completing paperwork accurately, logging trailer inspections.
• 10%: Maintaining cleanliness of floors, racks, docks, and outside areas.

Position Details and Qualifications

Internal & External Contacts: Communication with shipping staff and truck drivers.

Education: High school diploma and basic math skills.

Experience: Some related work experience and forklift operation knowledge.

Skills & Abilities: Good communication, hand-eye coordination, reliability, safety awareness, physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
