Description

Job Summary: Perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Assist shipping and receiving by unloading trucks and checking in merchandise.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat; sweep, dust, and mop. Organize the warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
• Wear proper safety equipment at all times.
• Perform any other duties as requested by the supervisor and/or manager.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.
• Regularly lift and/or move objects weighing 10-50 lbs.; occasionally lift and/or move objects over 100 lbs. with proper equipment.
• Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Occasionally sit, climb, or balance.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of warehouse experience in shipping and receiving.
• 3+ years of forklift experience.
• Forklift certification required.
• Experience handling pipe (carbon and stainless steel) is a plus.
• Strong work ethic: ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strict adherence to safety rules.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Minimum of 40 hours per week.
