Job summary

Reily Foods Company is seeking a dedicated Material Handler for its Knoxville distribution center. You will operate forklifts and related equipment, move goods across the facility, and ensure accurate handling of materials for production and shipping.

The role emphasizes strict safety, inventory accuracy, and collaboration with production, warehouse, and quality teams. Overtime flexibility and reliability are valued in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Warehouse/distribution experience required.
  • Experience using RF scan gun or warehouse systems.
  • Basic math and inventory/cycle counting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment
  • Move finished goods, packaging materials, and supplies throughout the facility
  • Load and unload trucks while ensuring products and materials are handled safely and accurately
  • Stage materials and products for production, shipping, and receiving
  • Verify quantities, labels, lot numbers, and product information for accuracy
  • Maintain accurate inventory and promptly report discrepancies or damaged products
  • Complete required paperwork, system transactions, and material movement documentation
  • Follow FIFO/FEFO and other inventory control practices as required
  • Keep work areas, aisles, and equipment clean, organized, and safe
  • Follow all company, GMP, food safety, quality, and OSHA/safety requirements
  • Communicate effectively with Production, Warehouse, Distribution, Quality, and other team members
  • Help keep the operation moving by responding to changing priorities and production needs
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the Distribution Center team

Job Details: Job Location: Knoxville Plant - Knoxville, TN 37919, Position Type: Full Time, Job Shift: 1st Shift, For more than 100 years, Reily Foods Company has been creating and distributing food and beverage products that bring people together. Keep things moving! As a Material Handler, you’ll play an important role in keeping our distribution center running safely, efficiently, and on schedule. You’ll make sure materials and products get where they need to go — helping our production and distribution teams deliver the products our customers know and love.

Shifts Available - Monday - Friday:
1st Shift 6:00am - 2:30pm
2nd Shift4:00pm - 12:30am

What You’ll Do:

Qualifications: What Makes a Successful Material Handler?
  • Previous warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, forklift, or material-handling experience
  • Experience usinga RF scan gun; comfortable using technology and learning inventory or warehouse systems
  • Basic math and inventory / cycle counting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and takes pride in accuracy
  • Puts safety first and follows procedures every time
  • Can work in a fast-paced, physically active environment
  • Works well with others and communicates clearly
  • Comfortable working independently and takes ownership of assigned tasks
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adjust when priorities change
  • Has a positive, team-first attitude and is willing to jump in and help
  • Punctual and dependable; willing and able to work overtime as needed to support business demands
