JOB DETAILS

Base pay is $19.00 per hour, plus $1.25 per hour shift differential

2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 3 pm-11 pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Warehouse Associate assists in the warehouse by creating, pulling product, operating forklifts, and unloading trucks. They ensure that orders are filled accurately to meet customer satisfaction, and that shipped cartons are structurally sound and suitable for sale by visually inspecting, repairing, and re-boxing as needed.

The associate maintains inventory control through correct product placement and ensures safety for people and materials by following company guidelines on lifting, stacking, motorized equipment operation, and loading flatbeds. They perform all functions following safety policies to maintain quality during storage and shipment. Responsibilities also include careful loading of products and quality crate building to support customer satisfaction.

• Operate motorized equipment (forklifts and multi-directional equipment) safely and efficiently
• Fill orders accurately from inventory
• Stage products for shipment
• Review dispatch logs and load flatbeds accordingly
• Set up materials for crate-building
• Provide production with storage racks
• Change batteries and gas tanks on forklifts and report maintenance needs
• Perform daily preventive maintenance and safety checks
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization
• Train on paperwork and bills of lading
• Train for inventory and cycle counts
• Perform other related duties as required
• Attend scheduled staff meetings with the Distribution Supervisor, if required
• Perform basic duties of Warehouse Associate 4 as needed, based on ability and experience
• Maintain accurate daily time cards
• Participate actively in all safety programs

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Six months' experience as a Warehouse Associate 2 or related experience preferred
• Understanding of the company's distribution process and procedures
• Good eye/hand coordination, manual dexterity, and ability to read and understand numbers
• Ability to lift up to 86 lbs continually and team lift 87-100 lbs
• Detail-oriented with good communication skills and ability to distinguish product by color profiling
• Working conditions include exposure to noise, temperature extremes, and dust
• Must perform continual lifting, twisting, and bending
• Proficiency with hand, electrical, and pneumatic tools
• Ability to operate a multi-directional forklift safely
• Use of safety glasses and ear protection as instructed
• Possession of a company motorized equipment license
• Commitment to safe work practices and compliance with health and safety regulations
• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations if needed
