Job summary

dfa is seeking a warehouse associate to ensure proper inventory rotation and to keep the production line supplied with materials. This position operates on a 12-hour rotating shift with responsibilities including picking raw materials, using oldest lot code first, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

The role requires forklift certification and at least 2 years of forklift experience, with on-the-job training provided. An Equal Opportunity Employer.

Responsibilities

• Pick all raw materials and ingredients for production.
• Pull materials by oldest lot code first.
• Ensure returns to warehouse are clean, weighed and labeled.
• Work with production to use partial bags first.
• Return materials to correct spot; no mixed pallets.
• Label all raw materials in warehouse.
• Maintain cycle counts / inventory control.
• Confirm order completion and product condition.
• Forklift battery changing maintenance.
• Palletizing as needed.
• Provide lunch and break relief as needed.
• Report issues to supervisor and inventory control.
• Keep work areas clean and sanitary.
• Perform duties safely and cooperatively.
• Handle any other duties as assigned.

Ensure that product is picked in a manner that ensures proper rotation of inventory and that the production line is always supplied with enough materials to keep operating. This position is a 12 hour rotating shift.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Picking all raw material and ingredients for production
• Pull all materials by the oldest lot code on the pick list first
• Ensure that all returns to the warehouse are clean, secured, weighed and properly labeled
• Work with production to ensure that all partial bags are used first
• Return materials to the proper place in the warehouse/no mixed pallets
• Ensure that all raw materials in the warehouse are labeled
• Cycle counting / inventory control
• Confirm order / product completion & condition
• Forklift battery changing maintenance
• Palletizing as needed
• Lunch and break relief as needed
• Report all problems immediately to the supervisor
• Report inventory issues to the inventory control team
• Maintain all work areas in a clean and sanitary condition
• Performs all work in a safe, efficient and cooperative manner
• Perform any other work duties as assigned
