Position Description

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Sit Down Forklift Operator in Jackson, Tennessee.

Compensation and Schedule

• Hourly Pay: $17.25 per hour
• Overtime Pay: $25.87 per hour
• Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour when assigned to C Shift or D Shift
• Schedule: 5:30 pm - 6:00 am - Alternating weeks: one week (48 hours) on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday; next week (36 hours) on Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• At least 1 year of warehouse or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods
• Flexible schedule availability
• Detail-oriented and dependable

Responsibilities

• Loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Accurate handling of paperwork like picking sheets, bills of lading, etc.
• Support for automated packing systems during production hours
• Perform other duties as assigned
