Job summary

Terzo Enterprises is hiring a forklift operator to prepare pallets for shipping and move pallets safely within our Jackson, Mississippi warehouse. You will operate a forklift, load and unload shipments, and maintain a clean, organized work area while following safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift and control lifting apparatus safely as part of daily responsibilities.
• Prepare pallets for shipment according to schedule and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Load and unload shipments safely, and move pallets to designated locations within the warehouse.
• Move, stack, and store pallets efficiently in appropriate areas while following safety procedures.
• Present OSHA forklift certification prior to job offer extension and adhere to PPE requirements.

What you'll do?

This job involves driving a forklift and using pedals to operate a lifting apparatus. You will be responsible for preparing pallets for shipping according to schedule and keeping the work area clean and organized. It's important to operate equipment safely and efficiently using recommended methods. You must always follow OSHA and MSDS standards and company safety procedures and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing job duties. Loading and unloading shipments safely is also part of the job, along with efficiently picking, moving, stacking, and storing pallets in the appropriate areas.
Utilizing a forklift, load and unload pallets to and from trailers as well as move pallets to correct locations throughout the warehouse that meet company and safety standards.

Hours & Pay:

Monday - Friday

Duties Include:

• Move levers and press pedals to drive the truck and control the movement of the lifting apparatus.
• Pull and prepare pallets for shipment as scheduled.
• Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Operate all equipment safely and efficiently following prescribed work methods.
• Forklift candidates must present an OSHA Forklift Certification before the extension of a job offer.
• Protection Equipment (PPE) at all times while performing job duties.
• Unload and load shipments safely.
• Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.
• Move, stack, and store pallets efficiently in the appropriate areas as required.
• Forklift candidates must present an OSHA Forklift Certification before the extension of a job offer.
