Job summary

PLZ Corp is seeking a Material Handler in Indianapolis, IN to ensure a continuous flow of product to departments. The role requires handling hazardous materials, accurate inventory control, and SAP familiarity, with a Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm schedule.

The position demands a HS diploma or GED, basic math and computer skills, and a strong mechanical aptitude. Candidates must be team players capable of detailed, safe work and overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; some college/technical schooling preferred.
• Experience handling hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Conducts daily/weekly safety inspections in his direct area of responsibilities (racking conditions, pallet placements on racking beams, forklift inspection).
• Daily AM meeting with direct report to discuss critical production issues, including quality holds on components and SAP block status.
• End-of-shift handoff with afternoon shift leader.
• Cross-trained in other similar warehousing/storage roles at MFG sites.
• Provides backup resource support to current supervisors.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• SAP knowledge applied to operations.
• Follows SOPs and Work Instructions.
• Notifies management of major discrepancies.
• Follows FIFO.
• Overtime as needed
• Creates a positive culture through words/actions.
• Other assigned duties as requested by management

Material Handler is responsible for providing a continuous flow of product to the departments. This includes the safe handling of hazardous materials, components and area equipment, accurate account for inventory.

*** $22 per hour - Monday - Friday 7am - 330pm ***

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducts daily/weekly safety inspections in his direct area of responsibilities- racking conditions, pallet placements on racking beams, including forklift inspection checklist.
• Daily am meeting with his direct report- discuss and act on any critical issues affecting production, including quality hold on components, ensuring rejected comps are placed in – Block Status in SAP-9999..
• Beginning and End of shift handoff discussion with afternoon shift leader.
• Cross-trained in other similar roles within the warehousing/storage MFG sites.
• Provides backup resource support to current supervisors-
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• SAP knowledgeable
• Follow SOP’s and/or Work Instructions
• Notifies management of any major discrepancies
• Follows FIFO
• Other specific duties as requested by management
• Available and willing to work overtime as needed
• Creates a positive culture in words/actions so as to increase respect/teamwork throughout the company.
