Job summary

Jasper Engines & Transmissions in Leavenworth, IN is seeking a detail-oriented loader/forklift operator to load and unload trailers and set up the racking system. You will read computer printouts to meet deadlines and work with overtime as needed, with a day shift from 6:30am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing or walking for long periods, and using computers and hand scanners.

Qualifications

• Must have forklift experience and be able to read computer printouts for loading.

Job Overview: This position requires a detailed person that will be responsible for loading, unloading truck trailers and set-up and break down of the racking system. This is a self-directed position requiring the person to read and understand computer printouts to accurately load and unload the trailers to meet the specified deadlines. This can become a pressure situation as the lead times can be short at times due to customer demands. Must be able to work overtime. Prior forklift experience a must.

Schedule:

• 4–10-hour days, Monday – Friday 6:30am-5:00pm (day off during the week will be determined upon hire)

Qualifications

• The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 50lbs.
• The ability to stand or walk an entire shift (can be approx... 8-10 hours)
• The ability to use tools such as computers and hand scanners
• Standing: Occasionally

• Stooping (forward leaning): Frequently

Salary and Benefits:

• Starting rate $20.00
