Job summary

Jasper Engines & Transmissions in Leavenworth, IN seeks a Jump Seat Driver to join our OTR team. This role delivers our products safely to company-owned branches on a weekly schedule, with guaranteed 2,100 miles per week and a $0.06 per mile premium.

You will unload by forklift at branches and prepare return cargo, verify paperwork, and log hours with an ELD. Class A CDL is required, but we sponsor CDL-A training and licensing for the right candidate; forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must pass DOT Physical/Background Check & Drug Screen.
• Ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 25 lbs.
• Use of handheld tools such as tablet and GPS.
• Standing, walking, sitting and other physical demands as described.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to company-owned branches on a weekly schedule.
• Unload by forklift to correct location at branches.
• Load core product for return trip to Distribution.
• Verify paperwork accuracy at each branch location.

Jump Seat Driver

Job Overview: The OTR position is a team-based position where you will be delivering our products safely, accurately and timely to our company-owned branch locations on a weekly dedicated schedule. As a Jump Seat Driver you will be guaranteed 2,100 miles/week with a $.06/mile premium, have a flexible schedule and drive different routes. Once at a branch location, the driver will unload the product by forklift to the correct location and load core product for the return trip to Distribution. The OTR driver will also confirm the accuracy of paperwork at each branch location. Drivers will log their time using an ELD (Electronic Logging Device). Possessing a Class A CDL is a requirement for the OTR position however a current CDL is not required to apply. JASPER can sponsor the right candidate to fully pay for the CDL-A training and License. Previous forklift experience is a plus. A sense of urgency and attention to detail are also key components of the OTR position.
