Yazoo Mills, Inc. in Hanover, PA is seeking a Forklift Operator in our Shipping Department to join our long‑standing team. The role involves preparing packing slips, bills of lading, operating forklift and packaging equipment, and coordinating daily truck deliveries.

1st shift, Monday–Friday, 9 am–6 pm with overtime; starting pay $23.78/hour, up to $26.28/hour. Candidates should have 2–3 years sit-down forklift experience, computer skills, and attention to detail; UPS/FedEx experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Read and understand production orders to prepare paperwork (packing slips, bills of lading, etc.).

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Know UPS/FedEx shipping procedures as they relate to order processing.
• Schedule truck lines and communicate information for timely deliveries.
• Maintain safety procedures and a clean work area.
• Operate baler/shredder for recycling product.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The shipping and receiving position is responsible for multiple warehouse duties in a fast paced environment. Job responsibilities include verifications and record keeping of incoming and outgoing shipments by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.

Essential Functions

1. Ability to read and understand production orders and specification sheets to prepare pack slips, bill of lading, commercial/international paperwork accurately in a computerized system.
2. Operate stretch wrap banders and other necessary packaging equipment.
3. Identify errors and packaging defects and correct accordingly.
4. Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
5. Knowledge of UPS/FedEx shipping procedures as it correlates to our order processing system.
6. Ability to lift 50 lbs., bend and twist throughout the workday.
7. Must be willing to accept and receive supervision and assistance regarding shipping, maintenance functions and other essential tasks as assigned.
8. Based on daily need, schedule truck lines and communicate essential information needed to ensure proper and timely deliveries.
9. Comply with safety regulations/procedures and maintain clean and orderly work area.
10. Operate a baler/shredder for recycling product.
