Job summary

48forty Solutions in Memphis, TN is hiring a Forklift Operator to load and unload pallets, move wood within the plant, and keep production moving safely and efficiently. This 1st shift role runs Monday–Friday from 6:00am to 3:00pm, with overtime as needed; pay is $17.25 per hour.

Job description

As a Forklift Operator, you’ll get to load and unload trailer with wooden pallets and move pallets inside our plants to keep manufacturing production moving efficiently! We’re looking for a motivated individual who will keep things moving at a safe and efficient pace!

Hourly Pay

$17.25/hr.

Shift(s)

1st Shift Monday-Friday 600am-300pm

• Unload deliveries of pallets and/or wood to the proper location inside the plant


• Move freshly cut and recycled wood to the appropriate worktable area


• Stack finished products into trailers or to storage areas up to a safe height


• Maintain a safe working environment by lifting, stacking, and transporting materials with all other plant personnel in mind


• 1-3 years of forklift experience


• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, lumber, welding, roofing, and/or construction is strongly preferred


• Willingness to work in a labor intensive environment


• Ability to communicate effectively


• Willing to work overtime as needed

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate
