Job summary

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is hiring a dependable Forklift Operator to manage material movement in a fast-paced facility. You will perform daily equipment checks, operate forklifts safely, and help maintain a clean, organized warehouse.

Starting pay is 19 dollars per hour with room for advancement. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience, and be legally eligible to work in the United States. Join a team committed to safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Maintains warehouse organization and proper stock storage.
• Participates in training and supports company goals and values.

Position Summary

TheForklift Operator operates and manages movement of materials to ensure a clean, organized facility, respects forklift safety criteria and fulfills production needs.

Starting rate $19/hour with room for advancement

Key Responsibilities

• Completes daily maintenance checks of the assigned unit before operation to ensure safe operation of the equipment and that no repairs are needed.
• Notifies technician inadvance when aware that equipment will need maintenance.

• Operates forklift while in a fast-paced environment and maintains a clean and safe facility.
• Loads and unloads trailersin a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensures that thewarehouseis kept clean, orderlyand all materials are properlystored.
• Operates forklifts/pallet jack following all company safety regulations.
• Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales and services and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.

Education, Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience and basic operator level maintenance experience, be legally eligible to work in the US , and be 18 years of age or older. It is required to have a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.

Excellent listening, communication and problem solving skills, a dedication to safety, proven commitment to work and a self-directed attitude are expected.
