Core Responsibilities: Ability to work both on and off a forklift — physical labor required. This position will be responsible for fulfilling mattress orders at our DC1 location.

Position Details:

• Position: Forklift Operator
• Shift: 2nd shift, Mon-Fri, 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM
• Pay: $22.00 per hour

The ideal candidate will also possess previous forklift experience.

Role Purpose:

Our Forklift Operators are responsible for moving stock within our warehouse, loading and unloading shipments, and using equipment such as stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts, and electric pallet jacks. Our environment is team-oriented, fast-paced, and safety-focused. You will be an essential part of everyday life at DHL.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products using various types of forklifts or other power equipment (80% of shift)
2. Prepare products for shipment, ensuring accuracy
3. Maintain inventory records and reports
4. Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards
5. Verify load accuracy, check for damage, and report variances
6. Change equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitor power sources
7. Maintain equipment and materials in a clean and organized manner
8. Assist in physical inventories
9. Perform daily equipment inspections
10. Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Forklift operator certificate or completion of a forklift training program within 30 days of employment
• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Six months of warehouse experience (preferred)
• Six months of forklift operation experience
