Position: Forklift Operator

Shift: 2nd (Mon-Thurs 5:45pm-4:15am)

Pay: $20.00 + $1.00/hour shift premium

The core responsibilities of this role include:

1. The position is a combination of equipment operator (30-90% depending on production peak times) and material handling duties, including loading and unloading.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 months’ experience operating stand-up material handling equipment, such as Dock Stocker and Reach Truck. Experience with other equipment like Cherry Picker, Sit-down, Clamp, or Electric Pallet Jack is a plus.
• Forklift operator certification or completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Six months warehouse experience preferred.
• Six months forklift operation experience preferred.

Role Purpose:

Our Forklift Operators move stock within the warehouse, loading and unloading shipments of various sizes, using equipment such as stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks. The environment is team-oriented, fast-paced, and safety-focused. You will be an essential part of everyday life at DHL.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Loading, unloading, moving, stocking, and staging products using various forklifts or power equipment.
2. Preparing products for shipment, ensuring accuracy.
3. Maintaining inventory records.
4. Complying with OSHA and MSDS standards.
5. Verifying load accuracy and reporting variances.
6. Changing equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitoring power sources.
7. Maintaining equipment and materials in a clean and orderly fashion.
8. Assisting in physical inventories.
9. Performing daily equipment inspections.
10. Performing other duties as assigned.
