The core responsibilities of this role include a combination of equipment operating (30-90% depending on production peak times) but will also require the employee to perform material handling and loading/unloading duties. This position requires safe and efficient operation of a stand-up Dock Stocker and Reach Truck.

Position Details:

• Position: Forklift Operator
• Shift: 1st shift, Monday – Friday, 8am-4pm
• Pay: $18.50 per hour
• Additional Incentives: All full-time employees are eligible for quarterly attendance and safety incentive bonuses

In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate may also possess skills and experience in Production, Manufacturing, Warehouse, General Labor, Forklift, Quality Control, Material Handling, Loading/Unloading, Equipment Operation, Reach Truck, Dock Stocker.

Preference will be given to those with stand-up Dock Stocker and Reach Truck experience. Experience with other material handling equipment such as Order (Cherry) Picker, Sit-down, Clamp, Electric Pallet Jack is a plus. A minimum of 6 months’ experience using a commercial WMS (Warehouse Management System) like Blue Yonder, Red Prairie, JDA, SAP is preferred.

Role Purpose:

Our Forklift Operators are responsible for moving stock within our warehouse, loading and unloading shipments of various sizes, and using equipment such as stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks. We operate in a team-oriented, fast-paced, safety-focused environment. You will be an essential part of everyday life, moving products that people need and want.

Key Accountabilities:

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products using various forklifts or power equipment (80% of shift)
• Prepare products for shipment, ensuring correct quantities and types are loaded
• Maintain accurate inventory records
• Follow OSHA and MSDS standards
• Verify load accuracy, check stability and damage, report variances
• Change equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitor power sources
• Keep equipment and materials organized and clean
• Assist with physical inventories
• Perform daily equipment inspections
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

• Forklift operator certification or completion of a forklift training program within 30 days of employment
• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Six months warehouse experience (preferred)
• Six months forklift operation experience
