Job summary

Katalyst-Healthcares- in Four Oaks, NC is seeking an entry-level warehouse associate. You will move materials and finished goods using forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks in a plant, office or warehouse setting.

You will follow SOPs, perform routine tasks with basic math, read and interpret English documents, and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors, while gaining skills in material handling and logistics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–1 year warehouse experience or related training.
• Ability to read, write and interpret English documents.
• Basic math skills.
• Effective communication with coworkers and supervisor.
• Ability to operate in a metrics-driven environment.
• General computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Zero (0) to one (1) year warehouse experience or related experience and/or training.
• Obtains and/or maintains appropriate licenses / training / certifications, as needed.
• Has basic skills training in an analytical / scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production).
• Effective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand.
• Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend documents written in English and perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment.
• General computer skills.

The job can require lifting and/or moving over 50 lbs. The position will have exposure to work near moving mechanical parts, extreme weather conditions and vibration. Occasionally the position will have exposure to work in high, precarious places and fumes/airborne particles. It is hot in the summer months (no AC) and cold in the winter months (limited heating). The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
