Job summary

Kelly Services in partnership with Cummins in Forest City, NC, is seeking dependable Forklift Operators for 1st and 3rd shifts to support shop-floor operations and ensure components are shipped on time.

Operators will use forklifts and reach trucks, work with an RF scanner, and help keep the warehouse clean and organized. Training is provided and a contract-to-hire path is available.

Qualifications

• Certification or willingness to obtain certification for powered industrial equipment.
• Basic math and computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office and WMS (Red Prairie) a plus, training provided.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt quickly to changing demands.
• Physical ability to handle frequent lifting and other warehouse tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other powered industrial vehicles.
• Pick and stage customer orders accurately using an RF scanner.
• Unload incoming shipments and store products in the correct locations.
• Prepare, wrap, label, and load outbound shipments according to guidelines.
• Perform cycle counts and replenish stock as directed.
• Maintain clean and organized pallet staging areas.
• Assist with team lifts for items over 50 lbs and follow all safety protocols.
• Support general warehouse operations as needed.

Pay Rate: $17.25–$18.25 per hour

Shifts Available: 1st Shift – 7:30 am – 6:00 pm and 3rd Shift – 8:30 pm – 5:30 am

Material Handler Requirements

• 1 year of experience required
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must regularly operate powered industrial equipment, including:
  • Walkie rider
  • Forklift
  • Order picker
  • Reach truck
