Job description

We are looking for a talented Warehouse Coordinator to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Cummins Inc. facility in Fletcher, NC .

Job Summary:

Under some supervision, coordinates operations through interaction with operations management. Coordinates activities for different areas like Inbound, Outbound, Kitting, etc. based on direction from Operations management.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Drive environmental responsibility: Recognize how daily actions impact the environment and actively reduce waste and negative effects.
  • Maintain high quality standards: Follow standard work instructions, perform thorough quality checks, and quickly elevate discrepancies to minimize risk and cost.
  • Optimize warehouse operations: Accurately receive, store, pick, pack, and ship goods while improving space utilization and meeting performance standards.
  • Strengthen teamwork and communication: Collaborate effectively with peers and support teams, ensuring alignment and smooth operations.
  • Continuously improve processes and capability: Engage in training, identify improvement opportunities, and maintain a clean, efficient, and well-functioning work environment.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • College, University or equivalent degree in Business, Engineering or related field preferred .
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, generating reports and advanced level computer skills.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
  • Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
  • Logistics and Warehousing experience preferred, including 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) provider management.
  • Receive and unload incoming shipments from carriers and vendors.
  • Verify quantities, part numbers, and product condition against packing slips, purchase orders, bills of lading, and other shipping documentation.
  • Accurately enter receiving transactions into the ERP/WMS system.
  • Label, identify, and route materials to designated storage or production areas.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies involving shortages, overages, damaged goods, or incorrect shipments.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and support cycle count activities.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Quality, and Warehouse personnel regarding shipment status and material availability.
  • Prepare and maintain receiving records and documentation in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure incoming materials meet quality standards and elevate concerns as necessary.
  • Monitor dock activity to maintain efficient material flow and prevent receiving delays.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners, as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Base Rate: $21.49 - $31.28/hr
