Job summary

Northern Tool + Equipment in Faribault, MN is seeking a forklift operator to move materials and inventory safely within the manufacturing facility using a stand-up forklift. The schedule is 6:00AM to 4:30PM, Monday through Thursday, with some overtime on Fridays.

Starting pay rate is $20/hour. The role supports production lines, shipping/receiving, and returns processing, while coordinating with supervision and cycle counting.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of forklift experience.
• Personal computer experience -- ability to work accurately with numbers and details.
• Demonstrated ability to handle varied projects.
• Must possess strong organizational skills and effectively communicate.
• Ability to complete projects with general instructions and within time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Supports manufacturing production lines with parts as production dictates.
• Assists shipping and receiving departments in moving, locating or retrieving needed parts/supplies.
• Assists in picking parts if necessary.
• Processes returns as restock items or vendor returns to stock.
• Assists Cycle Count Coordinator as workload dictates.
• Empties all garbage containers and appropriate refuse containers.
• Keeps supervisor informed of important developments and coordinates plans with others.
• Performs related work as apparent or assigned.

• Assists shipping and receiving departments in moving, locating or retrieving needed parts/supplies.
