Role Purpose:

Our Forklift Operators are responsible for moving stock within our warehouse environment. You’ll load and unload shipments of various sizes, using equipment such as stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks. Our environment is team-oriented, fast-paced, and safety-focused. At DHL, YOU will be an essential part of everyday life.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using various types of forklifts or other power equipment (80% of shift).
2. Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring the correct quantity and types are loaded.
3. Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy.
4. Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
5. Verify load accuracy; check load count, stability, and product damage; report variances.
6. Change equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitor power sources.
7. Maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
8. Assist in physical inventories.
9. Complete daily inspection of equipment.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

1. Forklift operator certificate or completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment.
2. High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred.
3. Six months warehouse experience, preferred.
4. Six months forklift operation experience.
