Job Responsibilities
- Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries.
- Move pallets to and from warehouse, storage areas, machines, loading docks, packaging lines, railroad cars, trucks, and storage facilities.
- Routinely drive gasoline, liquefied gas, and lifting devices such as forklifts, clamps, elevating platforms, to lift, push, pull, stack, or move products, equipment, or materials.
- Position forks, lifting platforms, or other lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials; hook tow trucks to trailer hitches and transport loads to designated areas.
- Unload and stack materials by raising and lowering lifting devices.
- Inventory materials on the work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.
- Weigh materials or products accurately, and record weights on tags, labels, and production schedules.
- Load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
- Perform daily forklift checks.
- Read bills of material and store containers accordingly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certificate; ZXP will provide training and certification for the right team members.
- High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Mathematical skills to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and interpret bar graphs.
- Language, Writing, and Computer Skills:
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and colleagues.
