Kelly Services is hiring a Fork Lift Operator at a leading Carlisle, PA distribution center. You will operate a forklift, read orders, and move items through the facility to fulfill customer requests.

The role requires forklift certification, a high school diploma or GED, and familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems. You’ll contribute to safe, efficient warehouse operations while supporting inventory control and maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to pick and move parts based on orders.
• Read orders and shipping documents to determine items to move or ship.
• Move items between storage locations and designated work areas in sequence.
• Fill requisitions and place materials in designated areas.
• Scan materials and move them per standard work instructions.
• Perform Forklift TPM tasks as required.
• Assist with inventory counts and accurate tracking of stock.
• Conduct facilities maintenance duties to keep the workspace clean.

What’s a typical day as Fork Lift Operator? You’ll be:

• Picking and moving parts based on customer orders using a forklift and other warehouse equipment.
• Reading and interpreting customer orders, work orders, and shipping documents to determine items to be moved, gathered, or shipped.
• Moving items from storage locations to designated work areas following a set sequence (size, type, style, etc.).
• Filling requisitions and placing materials or stock items in designated areas.
• Scanning materials and moving them according to standard work instructions.
• Completing Forklift TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) tasks as required.
• Assisting with counting and accurately tracking inventory, including physical inventory counts.
• Performing facilities maintenance duties such as sweeping, dusting, and mopping to maintain a clean workspace.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have prior forklift certification and experience operating a forklift in a warehouse setting.
• Possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Are computer literate and have experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse team.
• Are able to perform repetitive duties accurately and within standard work parameters.
• Can lift up to 25 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs, and are comfortable with the physical demands of the job (standing, walking, stooping, climbing stairs, twisting, etc.).
• Are committed to working safely and in compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.
