Job summary

Optimized Process Designs in Baytown, TX is seeking a Forklift Operator to move materials around the jobsite using an extended reach forklift. You will handle pallets, boxes, pipe and other large objects.

Travel is required with extended periods away from home in remote areas at times; you must be able to work up to 12 hours per day and participate in mandatory safety meetings. You should be able to work well in a team, maintain safety, and meet physical demands including lifting up to 60 lbs.

Forklift Operator – Baytown II, TX

Responsibilities

• Operate an extended reach forklift to transport materials within the jobsite.
• Transport pallets, boxes, pipe and other large objects as required.
• Interpret hand signals to determine placement of materials.
• Unload material shipments upon arrival and stage them in designated areas.

Physical Demands

• Capable of working in outdoor weather and environmental conditions including extreme heat, humidity, cold, and high elevations.
• Lift and carry awkward objects up to 60 lbs.
• Stand for extended periods up to 11 hours per day; breaks given in 2.5‑hour intervals.
• Use arms, legs, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, reaching, and bending regularly.
• Have good hand‑eye coordination.
• Use hands to handle, control, and feel objects and/or tools.

Basic Qualifications
