Job summary

Optimized Process Designs, LLC (OPD), a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks a Forklift Operator in Baytown, TX to support the jobsite by moving materials with an extended reach forklift.

You will transport pallets and large objects, interpret hand signals, unload shipments, and help maintain a strong safety culture on site. Willingness to travel to remote locations and participate in safety meetings is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1.5 years forklift operator experience.
  • Willing to travel; extended stays in remote areas.

Your Job

Location: Baytown, TX. Position: Forklift Operator at Optimized Process Designs, LLC (OPD), a Koch Engineered Solutions company.

Company Overview

OPD is an engineering/construction company headquartered in Katy, TX, specializing in natural gas, natural gas liquids, and petrochemical industries. We provide construction services and engineering/procurement, serving clients as a one‑stop shop.

What You Will Do
  • Operate an extended reach forklift to transport materials within the jobsite.
  • Transport pallets, boxes, pipe, and other large objects within the jobsite.
  • Interpret hand signals to determine where materials should be placed.
  • Unload material shipments when they arrive at the jobsite and stage them in designated areas.

Physical Demands
  • Capable of working in outdoor weather and environmental conditions, including extreme heat and humidity, extreme cold, and high elevations.
  • Lifting and carrying awkward objects up to 60 lbs.
  • Standing for extended periods of time up to 11 hours per day; breaks are given in 2.5‑hour intervals.
  • Using arms, legs, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, reaching, and bending on a regular basis.
  • Must have good hand‑eye coordination.
  • Use hands to handle, control, and feel objects and/or tools.
Qualifications
  • At least 1.5 years of experience as a forklift operator.
  • Travel is a must, with extended periods away from home in remote areas at times.
  • Must be able and willing to attend mandatory safety meetings.
  • Must be able and willing to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days per week.
  • Must be able to meet basic physical requirements.
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Three years of experience as a forklift operator.
  • Proficiency in driving other large equipment such as skid steer, tractor, track hoe, back hoe, or excavator.
  • Previous experience in oil and gas construction.
