Job summary

Greif, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator in the Converting Department at our Baltimore, OH facility. The role supports finished products movement, packing per specifications, and on-site warehousing tasks.

The position is 12-hour rotating shifts on a union site, with a quarterly bonus target and comprehensive benefits. Starting pay is $25.96 per hour, with opportunities to learn machine operation, participate in safety training, and advance within a long-standing, globally recognized packaging

Forklift Operator (Open) – Converting Department, Baltimore, OH

Starting Pay: $25.96/hour

12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM

2-2-3 Rotating Schedule | Union Facility

Quarterly Bonus Target: 10%

What You'll Do

• Forklift Operator – Operate a sit-down forklift to safely transport finished products and materials throughout the mill. Package finished products according to customer specifications, including ticketing, banding, and wrapping. Transport products to various on-site warehouses. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area. Follow all safety policies and procedures. Complete computer-based safety training.
• Machine Helper – Assist Machine Operators with converting equipment and production activities. Learn machine parts, equipment setup, operation, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting. Monitor product quality and assist with adjustments as needed. Follow production standards and customer specifications. Support the operator in maintaining a safe and efficient work area.
• Machine Operator – Operate converting machinery safely and efficiently. Set up and adjust equipment to meet production and quality requirements. Monitor machine performance and product quality. Troubleshoot equipment and production issues. Complete required production documentation.

• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• Forklift experience is a plus but not required. Job‑specific training, including Powered Industrial Truck training, is provided.

Compensation Range: The pay for this position is $25.96 per hour. The position may also be eligible for a short‑term incentive.
