Greif, a global leader in performance packaging, is seeking a Forklift Operator in Columbus, OH. You will operate routine production machinery and safely handle materials, while maintaining quality and logs for produced units.

Typically a high school diploma with up to 2 years of relevant experience is expected. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork and adherence to specifications in a fast-paced environment.

• Safely load, unload, move, stack and stage sorted raw materials using a forklift or other power industrial equipment as necessary.
• Carry out routine activities that produces the required quality/quantity of material within established specifications and tolerances.
• Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
• Maintains logs and records of units produced. Report any errors resulting in rejected or discarded material.
• Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Follow safety regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Operates routine production machinery in accordance with specifications provided.
• Safely load, unload, move, stack and stage sorted raw materials using a forklift or other power industrial equipment as necessary.
• Carry out routine activities that produces the required quality/quantity of material within established specifications and tolerances.
• Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.

Education and Experience

Compensation Range

The pay range for this position is $17.55 - $28.03annually. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between21.61 to21.61. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. If the competitive wage is equal in both fields, the starting rate is the same for all applicants that apply for this role. The starting rate is not representative of future compensation increases. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
