Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a skilled Forklift Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts and other material handling equipment. The role requires mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, hydraulic system knowledge, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, repairs, safety inspections, accurate documentation, and timely response to breakdowns.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in machine repair or maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology, and welding.
• Working knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic system issues.
• Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections.
• Maintain repair logs and parts inventory documentation.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform emergency repairs as needed.
