Job summary

Magna International Inc. in Northwood, OH, is seeking a skilled forklift maintenance technician to join our maintenance team. You will perform preventative and routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair a variety of forklifts to keep production lines moving.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, a forklift repair certification, and at least four years of hands-on experience. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work while standing for long shifts in a manufacturing

Job Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on forklifts
• Perform routine maintenance on forklifts
• Must be able to repair a variety of different types of forklifts
• Must have previous forklift repair experience
• Assist maintenance when needed
• Perform other duties as required

Educational Requirements

• Must have High School diploma or GED
• Must have current forklift repair certification

Experience Requirements

• Minimum four (4) years experience working on a variety of forklifts

Physical Requirements

This position requires a person to have the ability to perform work while standing or walking a minimum of 8 hours a day, the ability to lift up to 20 lbs on a frequent basis, and up to 50 lbs on an occasional basis. This person must also be able to work below the knees, and above the shoulders on an occasional basis. The ability to climb stairs is also required.

You will receive training to perform your job on an on-going basis concurrent with Norplas business operations. Training areas will include safety, quality, continuous improvement and other job specific training that is determined to be an essential part of your job and Norplas business operations.
