Description

If you are an equipment mechanic seeking a rewarding career with a solid and established company, join the Wiese team today! We are looking for a Field Service Technician to travel to customer locations and repair their material handling equipment. This equipment includes forklifts, aerial lifts, utility vehicles, floor care equipment, and more.

You will have a specific coverage area where you will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on the customer’s fleet. You will act as the point of contact between the company and our customers, representing the company professionally while providing excellent mechanical services and customer support.

As a Forklift Field Service Technician, you will manage your workload as if you ran a small business. You will be dispatched from your home using a company van and will coordinate and report on your jobs via a laptop.

Specific Duties

• Support, promote, and lead safety initiatives; follow all safety policies and procedures; work safely at all times and report unsafe conditions.
• Troubleshoot customer equipment problems and obtain customer approval before repairs.
• Maintain your own parts inventory based on your van's stock.
• Complete and submit all required paperwork accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service, suggest additional Wiese services, and identify potential customer needs.
• Manage your workload effectively to meet service goals.

Qualifications

• Perform hazard assessments for each job, maintaining high safety and quality standards.
• Strong multitasking and time management skills; ability to prioritize and self-manage.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, crouch/crawl in confined spaces, and work at heights above 15 feet.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Own your own hand tools.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn company software for online work orders.
• Excellent customer service skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
• Pre-employment requirements include drug screening, physical exam, background check, MVR check, and proof of employment eligibility (E-Verify).
