Job summary

The Crest Industries Family of Companies is seeking a Forklift Mechanic to inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and maintain all makes and models of material handling equipment at our plant. You will communicate parts needs to management to ensure timely repairs and keep equipment running smoothly.

Expected duties include evaluating forklifts and other mobile equipment, coordinating parts orders, and performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Qualifications

• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and maintain all makes/models of material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and repair all mobile equipment and forklifts at the plant.
• Communicate to management which parts are needed and place orders so repairs can proceed.

DESCRIPTION: The Forklift Mechanic’s main responsibility is to evaluate and repair all mobile equipment and forklifts at the plant. This candidate must be able to inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain all makes and models of material handling equipment. The other responsibilities would be to communicate to management what parts are needed and call those orders in so the equipment can be repaired.
