ProTrans in Eagle Pass, Texas is looking for a Part Time Forklift Materials Handler. In this role, you will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, ensuring accurate shipping and receiving operations.
The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or GED and the ability to operate forklifts efficiently. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are preferred. This role requires physical activity and adherence to safety procedures.
Part Time - Forklift Materials Handler - Salary $15.31
The Forklift Material Handler loads, unloads and moves materials within or near center, cross dock, trailers, yard, or work site by performing the following duties.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required. High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and write in English is required. Bilingual English/Spanish is desired in some centers.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Able to use scanning equipment.
Must pass the Protrans Forklift Performance Test.
