Job summary

Stratosphere Quality in Greensburg, Indiana is hiring a Forklift Operator to load and unload materials at customer sites and in our facility. You will operate powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently, moving goods to storage or transport.

The role requires basic math, attention to safety, and the ability to follow procedures. On-the-job training is provided, with opportunities for advancement and benefits after a probationary period.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Good math, language and reading skills.
• High degree of attention to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment.
• RF scanner gun experience or familiarity.
• Clean driving record and a valid state license may be required.
• Forklift certification per OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads product safely and efficiently.
• Moves product to designated areas in facility.
• Ensures accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Maintains records/reports to guarantee accuracy and inventory.
• Assists with physical inventory.
• Complies with OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Performs daily equipment checks and maintains maintenance log.
• Executes assignments accurately, timely and safely.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• All other duties as assigned.

Summary Of Responsibilities
Operates powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and moves them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks into trucks or storage facilities. The Forklift operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the unit.
Essential Job Functions

• Loads and unloads product; efficiently and safely stacking/storing product
• Moves product from staging or storage areas to designated areas in the facility
• Ensures accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments
• Maintains appropriate records/reports to guarantee accuracy and inventory
• Assists with physical inventory
• Complies with all OSHA and MSDS Standards
• Performs daily equipment checks and maintains maintenance log
• Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
• Maintains a clean & safe environment
• All other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
