Job summary

NFI is seeking a Level I Technician to perform all aspects of MHE planned maintenance on forklifts (LP and electric). You will handle fluid changes, air/oil filters, battery maintenance, and parts replacements while maintaining productivity targets and providing quality service.

The role requires basic mechanical skills, computer use, and strong communication with customer service focus. Outdoor work in varied conditions is expected.

Qualifications

• Post high school/technical training desirable but not required.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Experience with MS Office.
• Able to lift 75 lbs or more and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on forklifts (LP and electrical).
• Fluid changes and replacements: engine oil, transmission fluid, differential gear lube and hydraulic fluid.
• Filter changes: air, oil, fuel, and ATF filters.
• Tune-ups: adjust valves and replace spark plugs and wires.
• Brake/riser adjustments.
• Inspect and repack wheel bearings.
• Inspect and water forklift batteries on a defined schedule.
• Battery removal and installations.
• Equipment paint touch-ups as required.
• Attachment pad rotations.
• Part replacements as necessary (horns, lights, tires, etc.).
• Meet a minimum of 60 completed PM services per month.
• Maintain 80–90% productivity level.
