Job summary

Carlisle Construction Materials is seeking a forklift operator in Acworth, GA who will pull/pick, load outbound shipments, and unload inbound deliveries at the facility. The role requires attention to detail and safe operation of a propane sit-down forklift.

You will sort shipments, load/unload materials, and move products to pallets for storage or shipment while following work orders and safety protocols. Must have HS diploma and at least 1 year forklift experience.

Qualifications

• Must have forklift experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to learn and operate new equipment.
• Ability to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers).
• Strong problem-solving skills and math skills for square footage and batch calculations.

Responsibilities

• Operates a propane sit-down forklift.
• Sort shipments for destination and group merchandise to be included with or fulfilled in an order.
• Loading of finished materials for transport and unloading of raw materials.
• Moving products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Inspect the forklift to determine the need for repairs and to guarantee safety.
• Verify piece counts on each pallet and compares to label.
• Material handling of all products.
• Follow shipping work orders.
• Other duties as assigned
