Job summary

Carlisle is seeking a reliable forklift operator at our Acworth facility to handle outbound and inbound material movements. This full-time role involves loading finished goods, unloading raw materials, and moving items to pallets for storage or shipment.

You will operate a propane sit-down forklift, verify counts, follow shipping work orders, and maintain safe, accurate handling. Strong communication, detail orientation, and the ability to learn new equipment are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of one (1) year previous forklift experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Shipping and Receiving.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Must demonstrate safe working practices and possess great attention to detail.
• Team player able to follow instructions from management and peers.
• Ability to learn and operate new equipment.
• Ability to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers).
• Strong problem-solving skills and math skills with the capability to calculate square footage and batch size.

Responsibilities

• Operates a propane sit-down forklift.
• Sort shipments for destination and group merchandise to be included with or fulfilled in an order.
• Loading of finished materials for transport and unloading of raw materials.
• Moving products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Inspect the forklift to determine the need for repairs and to guarantee safety.
• Verify piece counts on each pallet and compares to label.
• Material handling of all products.
• Follow shipping work orders.
• Other duties as assigned
