Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a dedicated forklift operator to safely handle materials, move them to designated areas, and support ongoing production. The role requires adherence to safety procedures, accuracy in material handling, and reliable shift attendance.

You will operate HiLo/Forklift equipment, perform routine loading/unloading, and assist in inventory and workflow to meet customer deadlines. This position is based in Kansas City, MO during the first shift with potential overtime

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
One month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous material handling or HiLo driving experience preferred.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Willingness to work extended hours including weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Observe and comply with safety, environmental, regulatory, and company requirements.
Move materials within the plant using forklift and related devices.
Inventory materials on the work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.
Unload and stack materials; weigh and record weights as necessary.
Recharge batteries or replace liquefied gas tanks.
Assist in plant flow and maintain efficiency to meet customer needs.
