Job summary
Wolter Inc. in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Shop Mechanic to support our Service Department. You will complete service jobs, prepare quotes with the Shop Foreman, and maintain safety and organization in a fast-paced shop environment.
Ideal candidates have at least 2 years fixing forklifts and powered industrial equipment, with certification to operate material handling equipment, plus strong communication and time-management skills. We offer a sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience repairing powered industrial equipment, including forklifts.
- Certificate to operate material handling equipment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities.
- Basic computer skills.
- Owns the tools required for repairs.
- Commitment to safety policies.
Responsibilities
- Complete all assigned service jobs with precision.
- Document and quote additional repairs with the Shop Foreman.
- Communicate with Shop Foreman/Shop Manager for technical support.
- Attend training to stay current with products.
- Submit timecards and maintenance reports promptly.
- Keep the shop organized and clean.
- Assist fellow shop techs as needed.
- Prioritize safety in all tasks.
