Job summary

Wolter is seeking a Field Forklift Mechanic for our Janesville, WI branch. You will repair powered industrial equipment, including LP gas, diesel, and electric trucks, and support a team focused on moving, storing, and powering the world more efficiently.

The role emphasizes hands-on service, safety compliance, and strong customer communication as you complete service jobs and train on new products. We offer a sign-on bonus up to $2,000 and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years experience repairing fork lift trucks and/or other products represented.
• Strong customer orientation and communication skills.
• Must own tools necessary to perform repairs, per our tool list.
• Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Complete all service jobs assigned.
• Communicate with Road Lead Technician for issues or needed assistance.
• Attend service training classes to stay current on products.
• Submit all paperwork daily (timecards, reports with customer signature).
• Coordinate with dispatcher or service office regarding status and availability for new jobs.
• Identify jobs that should be sent to shop for repair and recommend them.
• Maintain relationships with territory sales reps to inform them of opportunities.
• Always adhere to safety rules and policies.
