Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Canton, OH is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our manufacturing facility. The role centers on repair and preventive maintenance of forklifts and other mobile equipment throughout the site.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of hands-on forklift experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment is required.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in repairing and maintaining forklifts and similar industrial equipment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Comfortable in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift and move equipment or parts up to 100 pounds.
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel and climb for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment within the facility.
• Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventive measures.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and fuel-system issues.
• Repair engines, transmissions, brakes, steering components, hydraulic systems, batteries, and other components.
• Assist with general maintenance and repair activities throughout the facility as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
