Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Operator to operate a range of construction equipment on projects in Texas, following Mortenson safety policies and procedures.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to plans, and proactive maintenance, with opportunities to collaborate across trades and contribute to a safe, productive site.

Applicants should have at least one year of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to read manuals and load charts.

Qualifications

• Equipment certifications as required.
• At least one year of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license with endorsements as required by law.
• Strong teamwork, positive attitude, customer service, and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operation and maintenance manuals, and load charts.
• Ability to operate equipment using controls; basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate construction equipment as directed and per Mortenson safety policies.
• Follow prescribed safety regulations and maintain clean, orderly worksites.
• Perform routine maintenance and detect malfunctions.
• Follow work plans and pre-task cards.
• Build relationships across diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
