Job summary

Alta Equipment Group in Elkhart, IN is seeking a Forklift Field Service Technician for our Material Handling Group. This full-time, first-shift role provides a company van, fuel card, tool insurance, paid time off, and a comprehensive benefits package.

The technician will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on forklifts and related equipment, drive the service van home, and handle field paperwork with a focus on customer service and safety.

Qualifications

• Two years of forklift repair experience is highly desired.
• Experience with electric and propane units preferred.
• Must have own tools and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on customer forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and repair forms of customer equipment.
• Complete repairs in a timely, professional manner; provide excellent customer service.
• Work independently and manage workloads; complete required paperwork accurately.
• Maintain company vehicle and on-board parts inventory.
• Incorporate Alta's guiding principles daily.
