Job summary

Colonial Group’s Material Handling Group is hiring a full-time Forklift Field Service Technician / Mechanic for our Wilmington, MA branch. This is first shift, Monday to Friday, hourly pay.

A company service van and fuel card are provided; technicians drive home with the van. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnosing and repairing forklifts and related equipment, completing repairs promptly, and delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Two years forklift repair experience preferred; military/guard/reservist MOS or related codes considered.
• Strong knowledge of electric and propane units.
• Own tools and valid driver’s license required.
• Able to read and interpret safety and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on customer forklifts and related equipment.
• Diagnose and repair all forms of customer equipment.
• Complete repairs in a timely, efficient and professional manner.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Work and manage workloads independently.
• Accurately complete and submit all required paperwork.
• Maintain company vehicle and on-board parts inventory.
• Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain consistent, reliable attendance.
