Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to do hard physical labor.
• Strong teamwork.
• Ability to follow instructions and handle standardized situations.
• Weekend, evening, and holiday work required as needed.
• Willingness to be on call when needed.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate forklift and standard farm/utility equipment such as bobcat, tractor, lawnmower, weed eater, etc.
• Must hold a current NC Driver's License.
• Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to be respectful and team oriented while building positive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ADU transload operations, estimate load counts, and manage loading/unloading of trailers.
• Maintain sanitation and biosecurity by cleaning ADU vehicles and equipment with high pressure sprayers.
• Assemble ADU containers and load for onsite pickup using forklift.
• Support emergency spill cleanups and facility upkeep including grounds maintenance.
• Follow Smithfield Injury Prevention System (SIPS) safety rules and company policies.
• Be flexible and a team player to meet daily department goals.
• Ensure compliance with environmental laws and report issues to supervision.
