Job summary

Valeo is hiring a Material Handler at our Reno, NV site. The role involves preparing shipment paperwork, filing and archiving shipping/receiving documents, and tracking receptions with a 48-hour resolution target.

You will help define procedures, fix document/label issues, and coordinate with suppliers on corrective actions. You will manage the receiving/shipping workflow in the system, perform daily counts, and conduct SAP investigations.

Qualifications

• Education: Technical school or equivalent.
• Experience: Manufacturing and supply chain experience strongly preferred.
• Languages: English fluent + local language.
• Leadership ability, communication skills, flexibility, familiarity with process and discipline history.

Responsibilities

• Prepare manual paperwork for shipments when needed.
• Responsible for filing and archiving all shipping and receiving documents.
• Track pending receptions and resolve within 48 hours.
• Contribute to definition of procedures and methods to control this activity.
• Address and fix issues related to documents/labels and make transportation claims.
• Contact suppliers about noncompliant documents/labels and follow corrective action plans.
• Report suppliers document and labeling discrepancies and action plans.
• Control the receiving and shipping workflow in the system.
• Daily VRO counts to ensure movements between locations.
• Make cycle counts and investigations in SAP.
• Ensure pass-on during off-shift hours for ongoing issues.
• Handle proof of delivery issues.
• Sort activities or additional tasks related to logistics.
• Manage returnable packaging with the customer (weekly counts).
• Cover forklift driver activities.
• Send ASN's to customers without EDI connection and/or failed ASN's.

• o Responsible for the proper filing and archiving of all shipping and receiving documents.
• O Keep tracking of all pending receptions and give solution - no more than 48 hours without reception
• o Apply and contribute to the definition of the procedures and methods to control this activity.
• o Address and fix all issues related to an incorrect or missing document/label and make the claims for transportation.
• o Contact suppliers not document / label compliant to ask and follow their corrective action plans.
• o Report suppliers document and labeling discrepancies and action plans status.
• o Control the receiving and shipping job stream in the system.
• o Daily VRO counts to ensure the movements between locations
• o Make the cycle counts and investigations on SAP
• o Ensure the pas-on during off-shift hours for ongoing issues.
• o Responsible for proof of delivery issues.
• o Sorting activities or additional task related to logistics
• O Manage the returnable packaging with the customer (weekly counts and schedule receptions)
• O Cover the forklift driver activities
• o Send by fax or via web-portals ASN's to customers without EDI connection and / or failed ASN's.

Required education, skills & experience:

• Education: Technical school or equivalent.
• Experience: Manufacturing and supply chain experience strongly preferred. Languages: English fluent + local language
• Knowledge:Leadership ability, communication skills, flexibility, familiarity of the process, applicable education, discipline history, years of service will be considered.
• PPE: Safety Glasses, safety shoes and hearing protection where required per Job Safety Analysis (JSA). Other protective equipment as required for specialized tasks as assigned.
