Job summary

Valeo in Seymour, Indiana, seeks a Physical Flows Manager/Supervisor for Site Supply Chain. You will induct newcomers, analyze logistics needs, monitor certification, manage absenteeism, safety rules, and performance boards.

You will lead weekly safety briefings and coordinate with support departments to resolve issues in logistics and production areas, reporting to the Site SCM. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree, excellent communication, and at least 3 years of supervisory or logistics

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Knowledge and demonstrated experience in lieu of education required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and a high degree of flexibility, plus strong computer skills.
• Minimum of 3 years supervisory/management experience in automotive or a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 3 years in logistics operations, preferably at an automotive lighting manufacturer.

Responsibilities

• Induct newcomers in the site perimeter (temporary employees included).
• Analyze flexibility and multi-skills needs of the logistic area and define training plans to develop team autonomy.
• Monitor the certification process for each operator and update in real time flexibility grid.
• Manage daily situations: absenteeism, holidays, safety rules enforcement, environment risk analysis, and performance boards.

What You Will Do

• You will be responsible for the induction of all newcomers in his/her perimeter (temporary employees included).
• You will analyze flexibility and multi skills needs of his/her logistic area, and define training plans in order to develop team autonomy and improvement spirit.
• You will monitor the certification process for each operator and update in real time flexibility grid.
• You will manage the following daily situations: absenteeism, holidays, safety rules enforcement, environment risk analysis, communication & performance boards update.
• You will perform weekly safety briefings and flash audits.
• You will ensure respect for traffic rules with a focus on pedestrians where forklifts are operating.
• You will work with APU support departments to sort out identified problems in the logistics or production areas (line feeding) including external warehouses.
• You will elevate to the Site Supply Chain Manager any problems likely to have a significant impact on the logistics activities.
• You will handle other activities as directed by the Site Supply Chain Manager.

What You Should Have

• You have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent knowledge and demonstrated experience in lieu of education required.
