Job summary

Valeo is a global tech company seeking a Material Handler to support site supply chain operations in the United States. You will prepare paperwork, file shipping and receiving documents, and help ensure accurate deliveries.

The role requires English fluency and a technical education; experience in manufacturing or supply chain is strongly preferred. Expect hands-on work, safety gear, and opportunities to contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Education: Technical school or equivalent.
• Experience: Manufacturing and supply chain experience strongly preferred.
• Languages: English fluent + local language.

Responsibilities

• Prepare manual paperwork for shipments when needed.
• Responsible for the proper filing and archiving of all shipping and receiving documents.
• Keep tracking of all pending receptions and give solution - no more than 48 hours without reception.
• Apply and contribute to the definition of the procedures and methods to control this activity.
• Address and fix all issues related to an incorrect or missing document/label and make the claims for transportation.
• Contact suppliers not document / label compliant to ask and follow their corrective action plans.
• Report suppliers document and labeling discrepancies and action plans status.
• Control the receiving and shipping job stream in the system.
• Daily VRO counts to ensure the movements between locations.
• Make the cycle counts and investigations on SAP
• Ensure the pas-on during off-shift hours for ongoing issues.
• Responsible for proof of delivery issues.
• Sorting activities or additional task related to logistics
• Manage the returnable packaging with the customer (weekly counts and schedule receptions)
• Cover the forklift driver activities
• Send by fax or via web-portals ASN’s to customers without EDI connection and / or failed ASN’s.

Required education, skills & experience

Education: Technical school or equivalent.

Experience: Manufacturing and supply chain experience strongly preferred.

Languages: English fluent + local language

Knowledge: Leadership ability, communication skills, flexibility, familiarity of the process, applicable education, discipline history, years of service will be considered.

PPE: Safety Glasses, safety shoes and hearing protection where required per Job Safety Analysis (JSA).

Other protective equipment as required for specialized tasks as assigned.
