Job summary

Amcor Rigid Packaging in Orlando, FL seeks a forklift operator to safely operate and maintain forklift equipment, support production, and ensure accurate material handling.

The role requires experience with propane or electric forklifts, basic computer skills, and reliable communication to coordinate with internal teams; willingness to adapt shifts and handle heavy items up to 50 lb in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience using propane or electric forklifts.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Effective communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Supplies production operations with raw materials to produce finished products.
• Prints and scans Bill of Lading for all finished goods using a computer interface and RF scanner.
• Inspects finished goods for quality defects.
• Transfers finished goods to staging or storage areas.
• Loads finished goods onto trucks in a timely manner to meet customers' delivery requirements.
• Accurately completes all written logs and data input including closing sequences on tickets and printing Bill of Lading.
• Ensures accurate inventory counts and notifies supervisor of discrepancies.
• Effectively communicates with all internal departments.
• Removes/reworks any damaged product on pallets.
• Maintains a clean work area and performs general housekeeping duties.
